A queen-size bed frame for Indigo who was afraid to ask for one and is finally making her apartment feel like home
Indigo, 19 years old, MI | 5 DAYS WAITING

Samaritas Child and Family ServicesIndigo entered foster care at 7 and was adopted at 12. When she turned 18, her adoptive parents asked her to leave. A friend's family took her in for her final year of high school and gave her the stability she needed to graduate. She is now ready to move into her first apartment.
Indigo is a young adult working to make her apartment a comfortable space of her own. She is grateful for the mattress she was recently given, but it is still on the floor because she doesn’t have a bed frame. She was hesitant to even ask for one. She worried it was too much to want, and she feared that if she had to move again, she might not be able to take it with her. Now it seems Indigo has found a place she can stay for a long time, and a queen-size bed frame would give her a real bed to climb into at the end of each day, plus another piece of a room that feels like hers. Wanting something many people take for granted is not asking for too much, and Indigo deserves comfort, stability, and a space where she can truly relax.
