Jubaline spent seven years in the foster care system, where their experiences taught them that where you come from does not have to determine where you end up. Despite facing uncertainty, they remained focused on their education, personal growth, and the future they want to build. Having experienced the need for greater consistency, accountability, and support for youth in care, Jubaline hopes to advocate for foster youth and show how much of a difference even one supportive person can make. In the coming years, they aspire to earn a master's degree in criminal justice or administration of justice while continuing to grow as a mother and advocate for young people navigating the foster care system.

In their free time, Jubaline finds great joy and relaxation in listening to music. During their time in foster care, Jubaline learned the importance of small moments that make them feel normal and safe, like listening to a favorite song. Jubaline currently does not have a working pair of AirPods, which they use for both school and pleasure. Because all their paychecks go toward rent, bills, and gas, Jubaline hopes for support to get a new pair. This would be a huge investment in Jubaline's future, education, and overall well-being.
