Central Missouri Foster Care & Adoption AssociationCalista is a bright and thoughtful girl who currently lives with a foster family. In 2025, she experienced the heartbreaking loss of her family in a tragic accident. Since then, she has faced many changes, including being separated from her older sister, who now lives in a group home. Even through everything she has been through, Calista continues to show how strong and determined she is. She is incredibly smart and recently advanced a grade because she is doing so well in school. Calista loves reading, writing, and using her imagination, and she dreams of becoming an author one day. She has been through more than most kids her age, but she still looks to the future with hope. Calista wants to use her creativity to tell stories, connect with others, and someday see her own books on a shelf.
Calista really wants to join her foster family and her older sister on a special Christmas cruise. She is a bright and thoughtful girl who lost her family in a tragic accident, and since then she has faced many changes, including being separated from her sister, who now lives in a group home. Every moment they spend together is precious to her, and a trip like this would give them days to simply be sisters again. They could explore the ship, watch the ocean from the deck, and share meals and stories, and for a little while the distance between them would melt away. Calista loves reading and writing and dreams of becoming an author one day, and she is doing so well in school that she recently advanced a grade. She would fill her mind with new sights and her notebook with new ideas to turn into stories someday. Even after everything she has been through, she looks to the future with hope, and this trip would give her a joyful memory to carry with her as she writes her own story.
