The Friends of Foster CareEden writes letters to God in a notebook with a worn cover. She writes about her day, her worries, and the small things she’s thankful for, and she ends every entry the same way: “Thank you for being here.” Eden entered foster care and has lived in several homes, each one a fresh start she didn’t choose. Through every change, her faith has been the one thing that stayed steady. It gave her a quiet place to bring her fears, and a sense that she was never completely alone, even in a room full of strangers. Eden is gentle, thoughtful, and a little shy, and she is still learning to feel comfortable in her own skin. She worries about how she looks, about fitting in, and about whether she is enough. She dreams of becoming a youth counselor or children’s ministry leader, someone who helps other kids know they’re loved.
As Eden begins to explore makeup, she wants a place to keep her favorite items tidy and safe. A pink Christian makeup bag would combine her love of pretty things with the faith that guides her, turning a simple pouch into something that reflects who she is. It’s easy to carry to school, church, or a sleepover, and it would give her a little extra confidence every time she opens it. For a girl who often feels uncertain, having something that shows her heart can make her feel more like herself.
