Lynelle was originally removed from their mother’s care due to extreme neglect, and later endured abuse in their first foster home placement. Due to her prior circumstances, much of her young life has consisted of going to school and endless appointments with doctors, investigators, therapists, and social workers. Yet, despite it all, she is incredibly sweet and fun-loving, having shown remarkable resilience.

Lynnette loves to draw, and she spends so many hours in the car traveling to school and to appointments. She was removed from her mother’s care because of neglect, and she was later abused in her first foster home. Because of what she has been through, much of her life has been filled with school and endless meetings with doctors, therapists, investigators, and social workers. This holiday season, she is wishing for a rechargeable light-up drawing tablet to turn that travel time into something she enjoys. She could sketch and doodle on every ride, letting her imagination wander as the miles go by. It is also a creative outlet that is not a traditional screen, so she can focus on making something with her own hands. After so many hours spent on things decided for her, a tablet she can pick up anywhere would let her spend that time on something that is fully hers.
