Aniya recently entered foster care due to her mother's legal issues and past physical abuse from a relative. She is still close to her relatives and friends but is now living in an entirely different neighborhood. The foster mother is requesting an iPad in order for Aniya to keep in touch with her relatives and friends via FaceTime.

Aniya is a bright and cheerful 13 year old. She loves to learn and absorb knowledge any way she can. She loves to learn and follow different fashion trends, and has a knack for cosmetology. She is very goal oriented and has stated to her case manager that she aspires to be a cosmetologist and have her own hair salon.
