At the TIP Program, foster children and kids who have experienced significant trauma get to participate in a VERY fun summer program. There is gardening and bike riding, picnic lunches and art projects. And best of all....swimming! Kids get to participate in water activities so that they can learn to be safe in water, participate in occupational and physical therapy and cool off. We like to keep bathing suits, towels and sunscreen for the kids at the program so that we don't have to worry about them missing out on the fun activities if they forget them.
TIP Girl is 12 years old and lives in OH
TIP s a therapeutic program that serves children who are involved in Children's Services due to abuse and neglect. We help support the attachment and behavioral needs as they are transitioning between homes, processing their trauma and working on developmental skills. Besides providing treatment services, we try to give them a network of people who can be supports at home, school and in the community. We often are asked to provide basic needs such as clothes, beds, furniture and toys and we love to try to connect them with people who can help.
