Steven has been placed on a 1-2 month long waiting list for housing assistance, but must vacate his current apartment in days. The option presented to him is stay at a local city shelter, losing what little belongings he has. Steven has stated that he would be "safer on the streets." Steven is wishing for assistance to help cover his rent and help him set up his new apartment.

Steven is a bright and charismatic young man who entered foster care at 5 years old, and now at 21, he is aging out without a place to call home. For many young people aging out of the foster care system each year, the outcomes are not so great. This is in part because, during a time of transition when most would call upon a parent or supportive adult, they often have no one to call. They are on their own.
