Shannell is a wonderful child who resides in a foster home with her younger sister. Shannell has been in care since March 2017 but this is her second time being removed from birth family. When Shannell first came into care she was afraid and did not trust anyone, as any child would be. Shannell then started attaching appropriately to foster parents but soon after was given back to birth family. A few months later, Shannell was again taken from birth family. Luckily, the previous foster home was able to take her and her sister back in. Shannell loves her foster parents and calls them "mommy and daddy". Shannell has learned many things such as the alphabet, numbers/counting, shapes, colors, and she has even learned to speak Spanish.
