Valerie's birthday is coming up and she loves Starbucks coffee. It would really light up her day to be able to go to Starbucks to get her favorite drink as well as a special treat.
Valerie is 23 years old and lives in NJ
Due to terrible circumstances, Valerie was living with a relative until this person was no longer able to care for her due to advancing illness. Fortunately, a family friend was able to step in and provide Valerie with a loving home. Although she feels cared for, Valerie still fears that her situation will change, based on her past experiences. After successfully completing summer school, Valerie is on track to graduate HS this year.
