Essence is a thriving mom who lives in a group home along with her son. She enjoys cuddling and spending time with her one year old son. Essence's son recently learned to walk and she was able to capture his first steps via video with tears in her eyes.

Essence is a very mature and articulate new mother. She is working towards completing her high school courses so that she can graduate soon. She is learning how to balance doing well in school and enjoying her baby every moment that she can. She is eager to learn.
