Mariam is a senior in high school and is enrolled in honors and AP classes. She is maintaining above average grades in all her classes. Mariam was accepted to 9 out of 9 colleges that she applied to! She has been awarded a writing scholarship and has applied for several others. Miriam is an excellent student, and has overcome many transitions and hardships while being in foster care. In addition, Mariam is actively pursuing employment for the summer and intends to live on campus at one of the colleges she selects for next school year. She has many positive aspirations for her future and is very thoughtful and diligent in her efforts to achieve goals.

Miriam plans on attending college in the fall as a freshman. Miriam is goal driven and very excited about her future. Miriam does not have a lot of support, and no savings. Miriam will need to purchase various items for her dorm room when she goes off to college. She is currently not employed because of school demands, though hopes to obtain a part time job in the summer. She will need to pay college related expenses and buy necessary items for her dorm room.
