A Tablet for Macie to read til her heart's content

Posted Oct 28, 2018
Macie is an avid reader who loves classics as well as new fiction. She would love to have a tablet to use at home over wifi, as well as at the library where she can download books for free. Having this would allow Macie to read to her heart's content!

Macie is 22 years old and lives in IN

Macie is a thoughtful and resilient young woman who looks for the pleasant and beautiful things in life despite her personal hardships. She's been in foster care for over 3 years. Macie has aspirations of becoming either an EMT or a photographer. She loves reading, photography, and music. She was accepted at Indiana University Fort Wayne and has already had her orientation. She is so excited! She has worked at a local pizza shop for two years now and has saved most of the money she made to help when she ages out of foster care and must begin taking care of herself. Thankfully, her foster mom isn't ready to let her out of her site just yet!

"Hi Macie. Granting your wish honors someone special I know. And you're special, too, preparing for the next chapter of your life. I hope you continue to pursue attending college & continuing your education. What a wonderful career if you choose to become an EMT. It's a noble profession & shows you care about helping people. I hope this Oprah Winfrey quote brings you inspiration: "The biggest adventure you can take is to live the life of your dreams." Keep dreaming big, Macie. -- Regards, "T"
