Luckily, his mother worked very hard and today has been sober for 3 years. Bryson is reunited with his mom and has a new baby brother to play with. His family struggles financially, only meeting Bryson's basic needs (but unfortunately not many extras).
Bryson would love to ride on the Polar Express, a real train ride that serves hot cocoa just like the book/movie. If he wears pajamas, he will also get to see the movie for free at the local theater following the train ride.
