UC Riverside - Guardian Scholars ProgramMercedes is an emancipated foster youth with a passion for giving back to her community. She successfully completed her studies at a two year college first before transferring to her current four-year university. She is a great role model for her two children her son who is 7 and her daughter who is 5. Mercedes doesn’t plan to stop her studies with her bachelor’s degree; she plans to enroll in a master’s program at UCLA.
Mercedes will be going to Mammoth for a retreat through her university, she will also be taking her two children. She needs help dressing them in warm winter snow gear. None of them have ever been to the mountains let alone Mammoth. They are very much looking forward to this trip. Please help us make this trip possible.
