UC Riverside - Guardian Scholars ProgramYvette is a freshman at university. In high school she was very involved in marching band and competed at a very high level at many regional and state tournaments. With Yvette and her sister (both foster youth) attending four-year universities they are beating many odds as foster youth pursuing college degrees. It is still too early to tell what Yvette wants to do after graduation, but she is very hardworking and has many interests (i.e. art, science, music) whatever she does we are sure she will be successful.
We are taking a group of students to Six Flags; we would like to be able to provide a meal for each student without breaking the bank. The student would be ecstatic and very grateful to receive a wish so they can grab some grub at Six Flags and have an amazing experience! Many of the students have never gone to a theme park.
