Gutierrica is a bright young lady. She has had quite a few struggles with life. She spent much of her life in foster care and attempted to run away several times. Recently, she moved into her own apartment, which has felt like a fresh start for Gutierrica. While she still has low self-esteem, she is finally excited about the next steps.

Gutierrica continues to battle life in foster care. When she finally thought she found her forever family everything went sour. Since day one she had always felt that her adopted parents never really wanted her, they only wanted her baby sister but she was a part of a "package deal." She is now back living from pillow to post because her new family will not allow her to return. She left the home because she was touched by her adoptive cousin. When her mom didn't believe her, she left the home and was not allowed to come back. Gutiertica enjoys dancing and finds herself when she is performing. She was recently selected to be on the color guards at her school and need help with the fees. Color guard gives her a sense of self and hope. She knows that she can overcome everything that life has thrown at her if she is just given a chance.
