Benjamin and his 4 siblings attended Camp to Belong MA last summer and it was the highlight of their year since they were all in separate foster care placements. They had an entire week together enjoying meals and activities, and strengthening their sibling bond. This year, Benjamin is now in his permanent adoptive family with one sister, Adalee, but three of his siblings are still in foster care. He would love to return to Camp to Belong to spend time with them once again, but his adoptive family does not have the resources to pay the camp tuition so they are asking for assistance.
Benjamin is 14 years old and lives in MA
Benjamin and his sister, Adalee, also on One Simple Wish, were adopted into a loving family from Department of Children and Families care on April 25, 2019. They came to their family from separate foster homes in early 2018. They have three older siblings who remain in foster care, all living in separate group homes. Benjamin is very close to his older siblings, especially his 13 year old brother who he looks up to and tries to emulate when he gets to see him, about once a month for one hour. Benjamin is extremely energetic and loves any physical activity. Last year at camp, he got to ride a horse for the very first time, and loved it. He hopes to have the chance to see the horses again this summer.
