Foster Parent Association of WilkesShawn is a wonderful young man who, despite struggling with the lasting effects of abuse and neglect, has a bright and caring spirit. With many special needs, he requires a high level of care and attention, but he thrives when he is part of a loving family. Shawn enjoys working on fixing things and finding satisfaction in hands-on activities. He has a fondness for Chick-fil-A and loves listening to music in his downtime. Driven by his passion for helping others, Shawn aspires to become a teacher someday, eager to make a positive impact in the lives of those around him.
Shawn wishes for a warm hoodie so he can use the hood and cover his head when he feels anxious. This helps him cope and get balanced back out. He also feels more secure when doing this and it helps him not to flap as bad from his autism.
