Jenga Girl Talk for Desiree to help her open up
Desiree, 19 years old
Wish submitted by:
NJ DCFS - Monmouth CountyDesiree is very quiet and likes to dance and hang out with her friends. When she is not with her friends she is talking to them on the phone. Desiree enjoys arts and crafts like sewing and making pillows. She does very well in school and has risen to the challenge of virtual learning and continues to get A’s and B’s. Desiree is kind and caring when it comes to others and is always willing to help.
Desiree enjoys when her caseworker comes to the home but is very shy and has expressed that she would like to open up and engage more but doesn't know how. When asked, Desiree stated that she likes to play Jenga in school and would like to play that with her worker. Desiree's worker found a Jenga Girl Talk game that has questions on it that could be used during visits to help Desiree feel more comfortable talking about things. Desiree has had a history of numerous placements and family loss that she is not yet willing to talk about. The caseworker hopes that this game will help them build a better rapport together.

"Thank you for granting this wish! Desiree loves Jenga and was excited when her case worker showed up with a "Girl Talk" version of the game. It definitely helped and hopefully will continue to help Desiree be able to express herself and open up a little more!"
