Anthony will soon graduate high school. Not too long ago, school staff and Anthony's support team were in a placement meeting. During the meeting, school staff announced that this high school was not the best placement for Anthony. They decided that an alternative school placement would be more suitable. Then Anthony showed his remarkable self advocacy skills. Anthony was forthcoming about the fact that he faces very difficult challenges on a daily basis. School became secondary as he was just trying to make it through each day. Anthony advocated so well that the school rescinded the decision for another school placement. The staff even mentioned that they had not seen a decision such as this, be changed at this point. This day, Anthony made the decision that he was going to work towards greatness no matter how difficult each day may be. Anthony stated that that he knows he can do it and he can do all that is needed to graduate. He asked for another chance to show that he can do anything that he sets his mind to do. Anthony made a commitment to himself, his school, and all of the support team that he can do whatever it takes to overcome his daily challenges and do what is needed to graduate. That is exactly what he has done. Anthony is doing well at school and on his way to graduating. He endures and perseveres in spite of adversities. He is absolutely destined for greatness.
