Holly wishes to pick out a new book to read this summer. She wants to read it during her free time before school starts back. She has found that she enjoys reading and remembers that she didn’t read before coming into foster care because there was no quiet time. She is enjoying having time for herself and having time to hear herself.
Holly is 19 years old and lives in NC
Holly has been in care for several years and has adjusted well to her new lifestyle, which has had a positive impact on her. However, she still struggles with low self-esteem, feeling self-conscious about her appearance, and her confidence level. Despite these challenges, Holly is caring and loving; she simply wants the opportunity to be accepted and to show others her best self. She enjoys reading, fashion, and spending time with friends.
