A Laptop for Niasia to help make her sophmore year easier

Niasia is requesting a laptop for her sophomore year. Her freshman year was difficult due to her having to share a laptop and then virtual learning due to COVID-19. If she has her own laptop, she will be able to work on her own time and able to study more.
Niasia is 23 years old and lives in NJ
Niasia was referred to life skills from her DCP&P case manager, she felt she could benefit from the program’s curriculum. From day one, she was honest about her strengths and needs, making it very easy to work with. She is also a young lady that can advocate for herself and does not take no for an answer. Niasia is going into her sophomore year of college, where she is studying to become a veterinarian. Being the first from her immediate family to attend college, it was a whole new world. She took to the challenge and enjoyed every moment. Even though she has some challenges, she completed her first year with 2.6 GPA.
