Karrie is a self-taught gymnast and a quick learner. Although she has never taken a class, she excels in gymnastics. Her dream is to become a gymnast and compete in the Olympics, and she greatly admires Gabby Douglas. Karrie is also talented at drawing; she enjoys creating pictures and cards for special occasions. She has been in the foster care system with her two sisters since she was three months old. Karrie is the middle child of five, and sometimes being the middle child can be challenging.

Karrie is a very intelligent child. She had some difficulty with being in foster care and being adopted by her foster parents. Karrie has adapted to her adopted family and displays joy when she talks about her family. She even lights up now when she talks about horseback riding and feeding the horses.
