A Sense of HomeEdina has always set high hopes for herself, even as a child. After being placed in foster care at the age of 12, she remained determined to become someone unique, not just another statistic. She has truly beaten the odds! Today, Edina is a proud mother to her sweet daughter. She is passionate about ASL and works hard to connect former foster youth with academic resources. Her dream is to travel the world, teaching sign language to those who are deaf and lack access to education. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, visiting the park, traveling, and learning American Sign Language.
Edina is asking for a laptop so she can complete her online classes! Due to COVID, all of her classes have moved into virtual learning and she constantly has to worry about whose laptop she can borrow. All the libraries are closed, so finding a computer is much harder. Granting this wish will make sure she passes all her classes with flying colors!
