Sonia, 10 years old, NC

Sonia has recently come into YFS care for the second time in her 10 years. She struggled when she first came into care opening up and letting people talk to her. She has since made significant improvements and is able to open up about what she likes and even make friends. Sonia likes things that make her comfortable, like stuffed animals and art projects. In school, she really enjoys reading and art!

Sonia loves the movie “Frozen”. She can be found wearing her Princess Elsa t-shirt whenever she is not in school uniform. She also can sing every song and will do so upon request. She has asked for a Disney Castle so her dolls have a magical place to rest and play!
