Cary aged out of foster care after graduating high school, and has been making it on her own ever since. She had multiple placements in foster care, but her last foster family was very caring and loved her like she was their own child. Fortunately, she is still in touch with them and they are a positive support system in her life. Cary is a devoted mom to her autistic son.

Cary and her son recently had to leave a scary domestic situation, and she had to leave so much behind, including her TV. Cary and her son, who is autistic, like to sit down after a long day and relax by watching their favorite shows. Her son especially loves Sesame Street, and he claps and laughs every time Elmo comes on the screen. Having a TV again in their apartment will help to make things feel a bit more normal for Cary and her son.
