Alicia is grateful for her time in foster care, and it inspired her to join the foster care field so she can help other youth like herself. She is currently a foster care youth advocate for wrap around services, has two Associate's Degrees, and is pursuing her Bachelor's Degree at Sienna College. She is so proud that she has proven the negative statistics around aged out foster care youth wrong! Alicia looks forward to continuing to mentor and guide other foster care youth so they can have the best possible chance at a successful, fulfilling, and happy life. .

Alicia spent years in the foster care system, and is just now trying to deal with the trauma associated with her childhood and time in care. While going through the process, which will be ultimately healing, she is dealing with complex feelings of PTSD and anxiety. She continues to attend school, and has had some positive interviews for an additional job to help supplement her finances. This wish will really help her catch up and start 2022 with a fresh start.
