Nita is a former foster youth currently participating in a transitional housing program. She is a vibrant young woman whose joyful energy can light up any room. Nita has a passion for teaching and helping others in any way she can. Despite facing numerous obstacles in her life as a former foster youth, she remains eager to assist others in overcoming their own challenges.

Nita has made the brave decision to enter treatment for her mental health. She tried really, really hard to put so many things in place before she entered the hospital, but she was not able to finalize the payments on her car. Nita worked day and night to be able to purchase this car, without any support, and is worried about her car being repossessed while she is focusing on her mental health. These two months of car payments will give Nita such a sense of peace, knowing that her car will be waiting for her once she leaves the hospital in a better place. She will not have to worry about having transportation, and she can pick up her life as a stronger and more stable person.
