Jayah would love to receive some books by her favorite author. In the past, she was frequently absent from school and her only books were an occasional comic book. Now after a year in school, she says she loves school and has asked for several books she can call her own. Jayah feels reading books can change her life and help to put her on a much different and more successful path in life.
Jayah is 16 years old and lives in NJ
Jayah is a lovely young girl whose time in foster care has not dampened her cheery, kind and caring personality. She was separated from her brother and she really treasures her visitation time with him. Although she longs for her family, she is focused on her future and is committed to doing well in school. Jayah really loves school and she has developed a passion for reading.
