Jay recently studied very hard and was able to pass his permit exam. He now wants to study for his driver's license so that he can pass that test before his permit expires. In NYC, the ability to drive opens up many other employment opportunities not available to those who cannot. This wish will truly help Jay, ensuring he has the skills to move forward in his life. Please note: this is 2 of 2 wishes to get Jay on the road!
Jay is 26 years old and lives in NY
Jay is a former foster youth in NYC. He was adopted but this did not turn out to be a forever home, and he found himself essentially homeless, living with a girlfriend. Jay has recently received a Section 8 voucher and we are hoping he will have a permanent home very soon. He identifies as male, but his vital documents do not match his identity, which has led to other struggles. Jay is a charismatic and charming young man, with many dreams. Stable housing is the first step to ensuring he can meet his other life goals.
