Izaak is a bright and smart only child. He loves swimming, being an acolyte at church, video games, and Legos. He has some learning challenges, and fine motor skills delays. He lived with his father until just before his 3rd birthday when his father took his own life. He then went to his mentally ill mother and was neglected and exposed to a lifestyle that was dangerous and unstable. It took his single grandmother a year to get custody of him. She has moved to a larger city so he can get the services he needs but her rent has almost doubled and at 73 years old, living on her social security, it's a struggle for her. Izaak wants to be a teacher when he grows up, and if he isn’t a teacher, he wants to build a shelter for the homeless. Maybe he will do both!

Izaak loves to build Legos and has wanted this set for a while but it isn't in the budget for his grandmother to afford to get it for him. He finds so much joy in building sets. He loves taking them apart and building them again over and over. Receiving this set would mean so much to Izaak and his grandmother!
