A Tablet for Paul who is struggling with isolation at his group home
Paul, 20 years old
Wish submitted by:
Mothers and Children in Crisis, IncPaul recently was placed in his current group home. He’s trying to fit in and get use to being around the other boys. He was previously in a foster home, so this group setting is all very new to him. Because of Paul’s past, he struggles with celebrations and receiving gifts. He’s also very sensitive to how others treat him and approach him. Paul often talks about never wanting a family, but he also talks about having a son one day. Paul often reverts into his own mind, but when he’s approached and a conversation is started he will engage. With more time, Paul will open to up to his foster brothers.
Paul has found himself to be more lonely than ever in his group home. He is asking for a tablet to help him connect more with the other boys he is living with, and hopefully to make some friends. Paul is also hoping to be able to stay connected with kids he meets once school begins. This tablet will really help Paul to move past his current sense of isolation.
