Kailyah is in need of a little kindness. She recently had an unplanned vet bill that the clinic required full payment for at the time of service, this charge essentially depleted the savings Kailyah had set aside for August’s rent. But she didn’t stop there. She reached out to every agency and organization she could to apply for emergency assistance, and with each one, listened to the various reasons why she was not eligible. Worried, she reached out to One Simple Wish as a last resort. Kailyah explained that this rent payment isn’t just keeping her safe for the month, but it is also critical to her ability to rent again after moving to start school in the fall.
