Mecklenburg County Guardian ad LitemSammy is the most polite, optimistic and respectful teenage boy. He has been in foster care for two years and was recently reunited with a past step-father out of the state. He is adjusting well to a new city, new school, new home and environment. Sammy is a rising senior, very active in JROTC and enrolled in a program that carries him from high school into college in the state he lives in. He is looking forward to doing four years in college and going into the military as an officer. This young man has overcome many challenges and obstacles to be successful in his placement and his future goals.
Sammy can't wait to turn 16! He is studying hard for his driver's license and wants to get a job to save for a car. He has asked for a gift card to Game Stop so that he can shop for some of his favorite video games. Sammy is Honduran/American and speaks English as a second language. He has adjusted very well to having both languages and works hard at school, making good grades. He is motivated to try new things and eager to learn. This gift card would make it easier for him to purchase things he likes, as well as feel celebrated on this special birthday.
Guardian ad Litem Program, Mecklenburg County requests this wish for Sammy.
