Tuition Support for Dakarai who lost state funding this semsester

Dakarai is almost finished with his Associate's degree, and is looking forward to transferring to the four year program at John Jay College for Criminal Justice. He was recently notified that he was not awarded tuition support through NY state, and he has a gap in funding for the Fall 2022 semester. This wish will ensure that Dakarai can complete his Associate's degree, transfer to a four year program, and become the first person in his family to graduate college.
Dakarai is 30 years old and lives in NY
Dakarai was part of the foster care system since the age of three. He was first placed with a family member as a part of a kinship placement and when that placement did work, he was placed in Green Chimneys, an LGBTQ group home. Dakarai is now in college studying Criminal Justice, and is so proud that he has made the Dean's List as a first generation college student.
