Luciana, 18 years old, NJ

Luciana migrated from Peru a few years ago and has been working diligently to obtain her GED. She was forced to leave school in the third grade, but she is eager to gain more knowledge with the goal of becoming a nurse. As a survivor of domestic violence and child abuse, she hopes to one day advocate for other young people who have experienced similar challenges.
