Mellanie is a young woman who grew up in foster care. She graduated from college with a degree in Psychology. She faced a difficult childhood due to her mother's mental illness and their low-income situation. As a teenager, she and her sister entered foster care because their home life was abusive and unstable. After graduating, Mellanie reconnected with her mother and moved in with her. However, her mother eventually kicked her out, leaving her homeless. After several months on the street, she found housing and started working at a clinic for children with autism. In February 2024, she suffered a serious back injury at work and has been adjusting to temporary disability since then.
