Cayden is a 5th grade boy who has been in YFS custody since January 2025. He is an avid reader, this past summer he has been trying new experiences – like sleepaway camp, swimming, baseball and going to new places with his foster parents. He has made friends in his neighborhood and is now well settled in school. He loves the dogs that live in the house with him and has enjoyed getting to know the chickens and collecting their eggs! As he settles into being a child again – after having to look after his little brother and sister before coming into YF custody – Cayden is beginning to enjoy playing and relaxing his guard. Cayden is a planner and a thinker – he says he wants to be a meteorologist when he grows up and has already decided to start on that path by going to community college because he says he doesn’t want to start out in life with student debt!!
