Lavontay entered foster care at age 17 but is focused on building a better future for himself and his family. He became a father to a baby girl earlier this year and moved to be closer to her. He recently secured a job to provide for his daughter and is committed to being a loving, present father. Lavontay finds joy in arts and crafts, but the greatest happiness comes from hugging his daughter, which reminds him of his purpose.
