Colton, 17 years old, MO

Colton has spent many years in residential treatment, but he is proud of how far he has come and the positive choices he is making for his future. He has made friends, built meaningful relationships, and learned that he has the ability to walk away from negative peer pressure and make decisions that are best for him. Colton has also grown more comfortable talking about his feelings with his foster parents, showing the maturity and self-awareness he has worked hard to develop. He has big goals for his future, including attending college, exploring a career in the military after high school, and getting a part-time job next summer as he continues learning the skills he needs to become more independent.
