A Set of Books about Foster Care to help TJ understand his situation

The Buckeye RanchTJ is a joyful young boy who is figuring out who he is. TJ has recently discovered a love of sports and would love to practice and join a team. Sports help TJ to work through his emotions that he struggles to understand. TJ has been in foster care for the majority of his life and has spent time in numerous foster homes and residential treatment as he is trying to learn how to work through his trauma. Despite his struggles, he is a wonderful young man who is always trying to look forward and find things in life that bring him joy.
TJ has spent the majority of his life in foster care but does not fully understand what foster care is or why he can't live with his family. These six children's books about foster care would be very helpful for TJ to start to process what is happening in his life. TJ loves to have books read to him, so reading would be a great way to help him process and begin to understand what is going on.
