A Phone for I'Ona to keep in touch

I’Ona will be leaving her foster home and living independently at YSU which will be an important milestone for I’Ona. A new phone would help set her up for success and ease her mind as she will have easy access to her supportive network. She currently is using an old phone that does not hold a battery charge and is not connected to her iCloud account where all of her information is stored. Her phone would be useful and important as it pertains to connecting with her foster parents, case workers, and having a stable form of technology when she transitions into college this Fall.
I'Ona is 19 years old and lives in OH
I’Ona is a responsible, independent, hardworking individual. She recently obtained her driver’s license, is working part-time, and is excelling in school. She demonstrated responsibility and a strong work ethic by working while in high school and saving money to purchase her own car. I’Ona is emancipating from foster care in May 2023 and has been accepted into Youngstown State with the hopes of achieving her goal of being a dental hygienist! She is following all the necessary steps to prepare for college and plans to be a part of the Bridges program. I’Ona is a shining example of what we would hope for all of our teens emancipating from foster care!
