A drawing tablet for Megan would open a window of expression and healing through art

Posted Aug 13, 2023
Megan would like a drawing tablet because it is not something we can afford right now as her kinship family. I believe she would benefit by offering her a safe “space” to express her feelings as school will be starting soon and she experiences bullying for her LBGTQ status. Megan is using her artistic talent to work through many feelings and experiences through her artwork.

Megan is 12 years old and lives in CA

Megan is a very intelligent and interesting child. She is working through her childhood traumas, tackling middle school and generally trying to figure out who she is. She is exploring different ways to find her talents and express herself while working through her traumas. She loves to draw and create characters with stories like a comic book. This is a new talent she’s discovered. She is very creative and lovely but quiet and private. She rarely talks about her feelings and has some trust issues. However, because she is creative this is a a possible path for healing and expression as she grows..
