A portable washer and dryer combo for Kathie to maintain clean clothes for her children

Eileen & Callie's PlaceKathie entered the foster care system when she was 13 years old and spent a lot of time in group homes. She was homeless when she aged out but never gave up her dream of being independent, having a home of her own, and perhaps becoming a singer. Kathie has a lovely voice and has sung at different community events as well as volunteered at functions to give back to the community. Her dream has shifted somewhat as she now has a 3-year-old daughter and a son on the way. She just recently moved into her own apartment and is concentrating on making it a great home for the children
Kathie's apartment complex has a central laundry room that is not near her apartment. With a 3-year-old and a baby on the way, having a portable washer and dryer in the apartment will help her to always have clean clothes for her and the kids without having to maneuver to a laundry room carrying dirty clothes and two children.
