Community Initiatives/Seen52Baru is a well-traveled young man and has lived in multiple countries in Africa and Europe before moving to the US. He loves listening to 70s and 80s rock and funk and will sing along. He is very studious and his goal is to improve his English. He loves making beautiful things and teaching his friends French.
Baru and his mom are the only ones who moved to the U.S. seeking asylum. They have faced many challenges together and both lead busy lives. When they do have time to spend together, they enjoy playing chess. This magnetic chess set will allow them to take their game with them while traveling, and it features a built-in compartment to hold the pieces. Made of wood, the set is not only beautiful but also of high quality.
