Kindred Spirit Behavioral HealthJay is a hardworking, compassionate young man who has overcome many challenges while working to build a better future for himself. Growing up, he was raised in the home of a close friend of his birth mother, where he learned the importance of resilience and perseverance. During his teenage years, Jay faced several struggles, including time spent in a rehabilitation program and periods of depression. Despite these challenges, he has worked hard to turn his life around. Today, Jay has secured employment and has taken the important step of moving into a place of his own. Jay has also begun reconnecting with several siblings on his father’s side. One of the most difficult moments in his life was the loss of the sister he was closest to, who sadly passed away after battling cancer. Although this loss was deeply painful, Jamond continues to move forward with strength and determination. Jay has a generous heart and enjoys helping others whenever he can. In the winter, he often shovels snow for neighbors and refuses to accept payment, simply wanting to make their day easier. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games with friends and spending time outdoors. Jay has personal goals for his future and hopes to continue working toward earning his GED so he can create more opportunities for himself.
Recently, Jamond was involved in a five-car accident on his way to work due to black ice. He was taken to the hospital but was released with only some bumps and bruises. A few days later, his car was declared a total loss. Currently, Jamond is borrowing his parents' truck to commute to work. Since his car is fuel-efficient, the truck consumes a lot more gas, so he is requesting a gift card to help cover his transportation costs until he is able to purchase a new car.
