A helmet for Brent to keep himself safe on his bike
Brent, 19 years old
Wish submitted by:
Central Missouri Foster Care & Adoption AssociationBrent has spent most of his life in residential care, which kept him safe, but he never felt at home. While he encountered some caring individuals, the constant changes left him guarded and self-reliant. As he approaches adulthood and prepares to age out of foster care, he feels both fear and hope for the future. Brent is intelligent and mature, with a growing support network that believes in him. Despite his nerves, he's ready to embrace independence and work toward creating his own story, believing that he can thrive rather than just get by.
Brent really needs a helmet to stay safe. As he begins college and works part-time, his electric bike will be essential for getting to class and his job. Wearing a helmet will help protect him as he manages his responsibilities. Brent has big dreams, and a serious injury could hinder his progress, leading to missed work, school, and bills. Choosing to wear a helmet is a wise decision that safeguards not only his head but also everything he is working towards.

"Good luck with college and your job- and ALWAYS wear the helmet. I've got a friend who has an intact brain today because he was wearing one. Be safe and stay well."
