Talia is an outgoing and resilient teenager who still is enthusiastic about learning and her future. She is ambitious and athletic. After being out of school due to family circumstances and parental choices, she is now back in high school. She loves going to school and learning – she especially likes her AVID class (Advancement Via Individual Determination). Talia hopes to run track and try out for the step team. She has a dream of opening her own therapy practice that focuses on young children and the elderly. She says that she feels like these two populations are overlooked when it comes to mental health.

Talia is looking forward to her birthday this month. Since April, she has been living in a group home but will be moving to a foster home at the end of the month. She's also starting at a new school. Before coming to the group home, Talia faced challenges with disordered eating, but her situation has improved thanks to therapy. As she's gained some healthy weight, she now needs new clothes that fit well. A trip to Aeropostale would make her birthday extra special! This request has two parts.This is wish 1 of 2.
