Latreese is a special girl with a big heart. She has worked hard to take care of her younger sister despite the chaos they experienced in their biological home. They were removed from their parents due to abuse, neglect, and domestic violence and were initially placed with their grandmother. However, after a few months, they had to leave that home as well because they were being exposed to unsafe individuals. Latreese is currently adjusting to her foster home but has become quiet and withdrawn. She is worried about her sister and concerned for her parents since she cannot see them at this time. Latreese loves to draw and is fond of animals. She is tentatively excited to try some new activities.

Latreese really wants to have a big birthday party this year. She has never had one, and has said she doesn't want gifts, she just wants to have a lot of people there to celebrate with her favorite foods, and she wants to be able to decorate the house and make party bags and favors. She would love a gift card to oriental trading so that she can make this happen. It is such a joy to watch her opening up and express what she wants without being shy or nervous.
